It is a known and indisputable fact that Windows 8/10 is unsatisfactory for many people, and that Windows 7 is not a long-term solution in addition to being slightly challenging to keep ahold of (sneaky tricks to get people to accidentally upgrade to Windows 10, that too might be something the OP simply doesn't want to deal with anymore). That's kind of the point, it is much more enjoyable to send a Windows fanatic/apologist to /dev/null on a Linux box.Īnyway, I love how a thread asking for suggestions on using calibre while ditching Windows, "For Personal Reasons™", became a place to lecture the OP about why "Windows does work, no really, and it's all your fault for unspecified reasons, because it works for me".
